Rangel

CAMERON—Funeral services for Fernando “Fred” Rangel, 54, of Cameron were held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Marek- Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Moises Vaca officiating. Burial followed in Hernandez Cemetery.

Mr. Rangel died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Cameron to Simon V. Rangel and Alicia Galarza.

Mr. Rangel worked for Santa Fe Railroad and then became a butcher and meat processor for Chamberlain Meats and Keith’s Minimax grocery.

Survivors are a son, Brandon Delao of Temple; his mother, Alice Rangel of Cameron; two brothers, Simon Rangel Jr. of Cameron, Nehemias Rangel of Westphalia; and eight sisters, Gloria Martinez, Linda Acosta, Esther Cole, Rebecca Sanchez, Melissa Sanchez and Deborah Shipp, all of Cameron, Elizabeth Vega of Buckholts, Alice Marie Flores of Waco.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
