Warming up for district meet, Tigers run by the lake for first
SOMERVILLE—Warming up for the District 23-3A meet next week, the Rockdale boys cross country team sprinted to a first place finish at the Run by the Lake.
The district meet will be held Oct. 27 in Navasota.
Juan Rubio and Jacon Gerren again set the pace finishing 1-2 in the three mile race.
Rubio turned in a time of 17:11, while Gerren followed at 18:33. Full Story
Engraved pavers available for new baseball complex
An exciting transition is taking place currently at the Tiger Baseball Complex.
As many of you have noticed, drastic needed improvements are under way. Part of the construction plan will provide a plaza area that will consist of brick pavers.
These pavers will also be used on the walkway leading into the baseball complex. Full Story
Lady Eagles wrap up another playoff party
King leads Milano to 30 wins for the fourth time
Representing the model of consistency, the Milano Lady Eagles have secured their place in the 2010 postseason with two wins over the last week.
It will be the 10th consecutive year for the Lady Eagles, now 31-9 overall and 10-1 in District 25A, to reach the postseason, having not not missed a trip to the playoffs since 2000. Full Story
Lady Tigers set to close out season on a net high note
The Rockdale Lady Tigers were swept in two District 23-3A losses in the past week as the season edges to a close.
Rockdale is now 7-22 on the year and 1-8 in district play.
The Lady Tigers fell to Giddings Tuesday night on the road 25-7, 25-12, 25-14. Full Story

Thorndale will finish out against No. 10 Rogers
Thorndale’s volleyball team are just trying to stay strong and finish out the season as they fell to No. 11 ranked Cameron Yoe and Lago Vista in District 27-2A action this week.
They will finish up the 2010 season next Tuesday.
The Lady Dogs (6-19, 1-11) had a tough test Tuesday night to a hard hitting Lady Yoe team. Full Story

TRAVIS—Seth Rutter is becoming monotonous, but his efforts are worth repeating..
For the second week in a row, Rutter crossed the goal line four times to spearhead Thorndale’s 74-7 ransacking of Rosebud-Lott at Cougar Stadium.
The victory lifts the Bulldogs to 7-1 on the season and keeps them in the heart of the playoff chase with a 3-1 mark. Full Story
