Cameron woman facing ‘injury to disabled’ charge
A 32-year-old Cameron woman is facing an “injury to the elderly” charge after an incident in Rockdale last week.
Lt. J. D. Newlin said Ofc. Johnathan Luedeman arrested Heidi Nicole Price-Williams in connection with an incident involving a disabled family member.
Newlin said the victim was not seriously injured. Full Story
No injuries after Thorndale school bus hits guard railing
No injur ies were repor ted Thursday afternoon when a loaded Thorndale ISD school bus, struck a bridge railing.
The Milam County Sheriff’s Department, State Trooper Ernest DelBosque, Thorndale firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene at 3:45 p.m. on FM 486 just south of San Gabriel. Full Story

‘No foul play’ suspected in missing 15-year-old
THORNDALE—Police do not suspect foul play in the disappearance of a 15-year-old Thorndale High School student.
Police Chief Fred Keefer said there was “no evidence” of any foul play in the disappearance of Kristen Elizabeth Garza. who was last seen at the school. Full Story
Former Rockdale dentist draws income tax evasion indictments
A former local dentist, who still resides in Rockdale, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of income ta x evasion.
Dr. John R . Rinn was arrested at his home Thursday and taken before federal Magistrate Judge Andrew Austin, in Austin for his initial appearance on the charges.
He will be arraigned on Thursday, Oct. 28. Full Story
Milam, Robertson team up to nab Cameron man
Milam County Sheriff David Greene’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) teamed up with the Robertson County Sheri f f ’s D epa r tment Monday in clearing up the theft of a welding trailer.
Zachary Shesler, 24, of Cameron was charged with theft and was released on $60,000 bond. Full Story
Three draw sentences
Three persons were sentenced last week in Milam County 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Kerry Spears.
She listed case dispositions as follows:
• Timothy Allen Marsh, 47, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with a motor vehicle, enhanced, four-year prison term. Full Story
