Milam, Robertson team up to nab Cameron man

Shesler Shesler Milam County Sheriff David Greene’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) teamed up with the Robertson County Sheri f f ’s D epa r tment Monday in clearing up the theft of a welding trailer.

Zachary Shesler, 24, of Cameron was charged with theft and was released on $60,000 bond.

Deputy Chris White said a welding trailer had been reported stolen from a location in Robertson County.

“Dur ing the investigation, Shesler was connected to an earlier theft in Milam County and was caught in the act of stealing a welding trailer/rig from the Clarkson community in Milam County,” White said.

He said Mike Clore, SIU investigator, arranged the theft sting and took Shesler into custody without incident.

White said value of the trailers and equipment recovered totaled almost $29,000.

He said Shesler is still facing charges on the Robertson County theft.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
