No injuries after Thorndale school bus hits guard railing

No injur ies were repor ted Thursday afternoon when a loaded Thorndale ISD school bus, struck a bridge railing.

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department, State Trooper Ernest DelBosque, Thorndale firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene at 3:45 p.m. on FM 486 just south of San Gabriel.

DelBosque listed the driver as Jennifer Sugg, 29, of Thorndale, She refused treatment at the scene, he said.

None of the 23 students on board the bus were injured, he said.

DelBosque said moderate damage was reported when the bus’s left front struck the railing.

Jef frey Douglas Lockridge remains in the county jail in lieu of $65,000 bond.
