Milam unemployment numbers down to 10.3%
County workforce still declining; state rate falls to lowest in 2010
Milam County’s jobless rate dropped almost half a percentage point at 10.3 compared to 10.7 this time last September, according to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
Milam’s rate was based on a labor force of 11,163 with 10,009 working and 1,154 out of work. Full Story

Permits $49,000 to start fiscal 2011
City building permits totaled $49,000 in October to open up the 2011 fiscal year.
