BUT, MUMMY!—When Red Ribbon anti-drug week’s annual wagon parade in the elementary gym coincides with Halloween Eve you can be sure there will be some creepy goings-on. Joyce Montgomery, kindergarten teacher, wheeled student Ashton Blevins, portraying a mummy around the gym as part of the very popular event. Each class decorated a wagon, according to Principal Robin Faulkner. All the fun has serious purpose. Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s largest drug prevention program, encourages students to live a drug-free life.
