CAMERON—Milam Community Theatre’s “Faith County,” a comedy by John Michael Landon, opens Saturday at the Williams Civic Center.

A membership reception begins at 7 p.m. with all current MCT members, and those thinking about joining the theater, invited, according to Richard Stone MCT spokesman.

There will be an art show featuring works of local artists in the lobby during the reception, and throughout the run of the show.

Light refreshments will be served during the reception Saturday. The curtain will go up at 8 p.m., Stone said.

Landon is the same playwright who wrote “An Evening of Culture,” which MCT performed a few years ago.

Three original cast members have returned for this show. Martha Lee reprises her role as Mildred, Bobby Schiller plays Luther and John Nelson plays Delbert.

Other cast members include Melanie Reed as Naomi, Lindsey Elmore as Faye, Kim McElwrath as Violet, Marie Reed as Ruthann, Dustan Owen as Bubba and Mona Butala as Gladys.

NCT Memberships are $50 for an individual and includes three season tickets and an invitation to the members only Gala.

A couple’s membership is $100.

“At $130, the Night on the Town membership, which includes our dinner performance for opening night of our spring show, is probably our best deal,” he said.
