Jerry Naill to headline this month’s Milano Opry
“He will be performing one of my favorite songs ‘Red, Red Wine’,” Opry publicist Lynn Martin said.
Naill, originally from the Houston area, cut Neil Diamond’s “Red, Red Wine” in 1975 and also had a Billboard hit with “Your Cheatin’ Heart Made a Drunken Fool of Me.” During his time of playing Texas hot spots, Naill decided to make his home in Cameron to raise his family.
The Opry will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Milano High School cafetorium. Doors open at 6 p.m. for people to come early, eat and visit, Martin said. Tickets are $5.
Special guest also performing are Lexi Stavinoha of Houston and Brian Davenport of Taylor.
House band members this month are Billy Barnett, Ab Woods, Michael Wall, Tom Cuddy, Will Fountain and Lynn Martin.
“We have a great show planned so mark your calendars and come see a ‘Big Show In A Small Town’,” Martin said.
