One injured in Sunday accident
One person was treated for injuries in a rural accident in the Rockdale area Sunday afternoon.
State Trooper Ernest Del- Bosque said a vehicle driven by Travis Slusher, 19, left County Road 320, .3-mile north of the CR 324 intersection, at 3 p.m.
The driver was taken by AMR ambulance to Richards Memorial Hospital, Rockdale, for treatment. Full Story
Depot fund-raiser slated Nov. 13
The annual homemade chili meal fund-raiser to benefit the International & Great Northern Historical Depot is set for Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Fair Park Clubhouse.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Chamber of Commerce President Denice Doss.
The meal includes homemade chili and desserts to eat in or take out.
Last year’s meal raised over $1,000. Full Story
Incumbents, newcomers win Gause ISD balloting
GAUSE–Incumbents Bill Jones and Melanie Rasco were re-elected, and newcomers Kathy Turner and Judy Roper also won seats in the Gause ISD school board race held Tuesday.
Roper, a former GISD employee, earned the most votes with 134, followed by Jones with 125. Turner garnered 105 and Rasco 104. Full Story
