Artz

CAMERON—Funeral services for Helen Artz, 97, of Cameron, formerly of San Antonio, were held Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at St. Gerard Catholic Church in San Antonio with Rev. Alton Carr officiating. Burial followed in San Fernando Cemetery III in San Antonio.

Mrs. Artz died Sunday, Oct. 31, in a Rockdale hospital.

A retired cosmetologist, she was born June 28, 1913, in Fairmont, West Virginia, to John N. and Blanche Flaherty Bissett Boor.

She married Robert Howard A rtz and he preceded her in death in 1961.

Mrs. Artz was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pattie Lou Artz; two grandsons, Patrick Joshua O’Brien and Shawn Thomas O’Brien; a great-grandchild, Emma Belcher; and three siblings, Freta Hudson, Loren E. Boor and Eva Gossett.

Survivors include a son, Bob Artz and wife Peggy of San Antonio; a daughter, Sherry Colley and husband Earl of Cameron; seven grandchildren, Sher yl Colley Smith, Shannon Colley O’Brien, Shelley Colley Posey, Earl M. “Chip” Colley IV, Pegann Artz, Russel H. Artz and Wendy Artz Tumlinson; 16 great-grandchildren, Jill, Began, Chris, Alex, Cassey, Milton, Prisca, Jake, Josh, Logan, Ruston, Jackie, Robby, Hayle, Cassey and Nancy; and three great-great-grandchildren, Bailey, William and Wesley.
