Mooney

ANTLERS, OK—A memorial services for Arlene May Mooney, 70, was held Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Cowboy Church in Antlers, Ok lahoma, w ith Pastor Jonathan Hooker officiating.

Mrs. Mooney died Thursday, Oct. 28, in Rattan, Oklahoma.

She was born March 15, 1940, in San Antonio to Jeff Audie and Josephine (Swope) Crockett.

Mrs. Mooney attended Hearne High School in Hearne.

She was owner of Tasty Burger (Freeze) in the early 1980s and also managed the ambulance service and worked for the hospital during that time.

Mrs. Mooney was a member of the Cowboy Church in Antlers, Oklahoma.

She enjoyed riding and caring for her horses, Rambo and Cash.

Mrs. Mooney was an animal lover and loved to help people.

She painted portraits in her early years, enjoyed watching the History and Discovery channels and, above all, she loved her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Mooney was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny W. May Sr. in 1990, Roy Joe Basco in 2004 and Larry Wayne Mooney in 2010; a son, Emory Joe Basco in 1960; her parents, Jeff Audie Crockett Sr. and Josephine Crockett; a sister, Marie Marcilliac; and a brother, Jeff Crockett.

Survivors are her children, Roy Steven Basco of Victoria, Johnny W. May Jr. of Antlers, Oklahoma, Johna May of Kauai, Hawaii, Steven Mooney and wife Jo of Galveston, John Mooney of League City; three grandchil- dren, Jace May, Reba Basco and Logan Mooney; a twin sister, Jerri Crump and husband Emory of Rockdale; an uncle, Archie L. Murray; many nephews and nieces, including Thomas Crump and wife Carrissa and children of Denver, Colorado, Sheryl Richardson and husband Steve and children and Sharyl Dartez and husband Kevin and children, all of Pasadena, Joey Chaison and wife Gerri and children of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Debbie Crockett and children and Tina Crockett and children, all of Corpus Christi; and her two horses, Rambo and Cash; also, many other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were special friends Don and Michelle House, Cynthia Maddux, George and Judy Tumleson, Alvin Macintosh, Randy Sherrill, Randy Crump, Margaret Evans, Kerry Lane, Finnis and Joanne Whiteside, Jessica May, Carolyn Mabry, Harvey and Wanda Dodds, Ronnie and Janet Garris, Graham and Laura Sweeney.
