With his 324-yard performance against LaGrange on Oct. 22, Rockdale Tiger running back Daniel Brooks was named the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week for Class 3A. 13 new members are ushered in to Hall of Honor
Emotions ran the entire gambit and friends and teammates that
hadn’t seen each other in decades reunited Friday night at the fourth installment of the Rockdale Sports Hall of Honor induction ceremony.
Thirteen new members were inducted into Hall of Honor in front of a packed high school cafeteria, the largest crowd in the four-year history of the event. Full Story

Lady Eagles falter in regional round for third straight season
BRENHAM—Milano’s postseason run in the Class A stopped volleyball playoffs was stopped for the third year in a row in the regional quarterfinals round on Tuesday night at Brenham High School gym.
The Lady Eagles (33-11) fell to Class A powerhouse Round Top- Carmine in a four game battle to end Milano’s season. Full Story
Local runners place at regional CC meets
SAN ANTONIO—Thorndale’s Dillon Irwin placed 40th from a field of 162 runners with a time of 17.52, his personal best, at the regional cross country meet.
Justin Grimes was Milano’s single competitor and he finished 131st out of 160 participants with a time of 21:46. Full Story

Tigers named Army Strong team of the week
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football announced that the Rockdale Tigers have been named the Army Strong Team of the Week for Division 3A.
The Tigers were chosen for this honor because of their teamwork, dedication, discipline, personal courage and integrity, values shared by U.S. Army Soldiers. Full Story

Lady Tigers drop season opener to Snook
SNOOK—Fighting off a sluggish second quarter, the Rckdale Lady Tigers dropped their season opener on the road to Snook 56- 28 Tuesday night.
Lela Mitchell led the Lady Tigers with seven points and two steals, while Jill Young put up six points, while grabbing five rebounds and Janeene Maloy added five points. Full Story
Thursday Tigers split final games of the season
The Thursday Rockdale Tigers ended the season by splitting their games with Caldwell.
Rakeem Wyatt’s two touchdowns and two-point conversions lifted the Tigers past Caldwell 16-14. Full Story
A PERFECT SEASON
The Rockdale Texans flew right past the Lexington Eagles 21-7 in the Super Bowl showdown Saturday. The victory cemented their undefeated season and brought them another championship trophy. Full Story
