Thorndale Chamber parade, festivities coming up soon

THOR NDA LE–The annual Thorndale Christmas parade and festivities are right around the corner, set for Saturday, Dec. 4. If you haven’t gotten your float or parade entry together yet, it’s not too late.

“We are hoping this year’s parade is bigger than ever so be sure to grab your dog and dress him up, decorate your favorite wagon, bicycle, ATV, or tractor and come join the fun,” organizer Deana Caffey said. “If you want to ride a horse or ride in a covered wagon or just a group of folks who want to walk in the parade, bring them on.”

Line up for parade judging will be at noon and the parade will begin at 1 p.m. Ribbons will be awarded in various categories for entries and winners will be announced as they go through the parade.

Be sure to get there a little early to make sure you are in place for judging, Caffey said.

Parade entr y forms can be picked up at area businesses in Thorndale, or you can call Donna Harris, 898-2427 or Caffey, 898- 5189 for an entry form.

Entries for the parade are accepted all the way up to parade start time, however any entries not in place at noon for judging will not get judged.
