Three held without bond on felonies

Three men are being held without bond in the Milam County Jail after being arrested on separate felony offenses in connection with separate incidents over the past week.

Jorge Javier Bautista, 20 of Cameron was booked into the county jail on Monday.

He was arrested by Deputy Doug Smith on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Nathan Ritard Shefflette Jr., 37, of Gause was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault and assault (impeding breath/circulation) of a family/ house member.

Arresting officer was Deputy Eddie Veracruz.

Pedro Augustine Mares, 18, of Harker Heights, was arrested Monday and charged with assault (impeding breath/circulation) of a family/house member.

He was arrested by Cameron Police Ofc. Greg Eakens.

Veracruz was also called to a Sierra Drive address in the Praesel Addition near Rockdale Nov. 9 to investigate a sexual assault report.
