Kay Theatre hosting crafts show Dec. 4th

An arts and crafts show will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 on the grounds of the Kay Theatre, Main at Davilla.

Leanna Applegate, organizer said the show will he held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will coincide with downtown Rockdale’s Christmas activities on that day and evening.

“We will have a lot of variety including photography, basket weaving, paintings and jewelry,” Applegate said.

“This will be a good opportunity to come and buy Christmas presents early,” she said.

The Kay Theatre is a restored 1940’s era Quonset hut structure that served as a movie theatre until the 1960s.

It is being restored as a culture and community center by community volunteers.
