FIRE CALLS

Fire calls dispatched through the Rockdale Police Department over the six-day reporting period were listed as follows:

• 5:59 p.m. Nov. 16, fire between Gause and Twenty-Two Hills Road, Gause Volunteer Fire Department.

• 3:28 p.m. Friday, grass fire, FM 2095, turned out to be a controlled burn, Gause Volunteer Fire Department.

• 1:12 a.m. Saturday, vehicle fire reported, 1600 block of Murray, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department.

• 9:55 p.m. Saturday, f ire reported behind Oak Park Two Street, turned out to be a controlled burn, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department.

Departments also answered a number of calls other than fires as follows:

• 10:22 p.m. Nov. 16, one-vehicle accident, FM 3061, north of San Gabriel, Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department.

• 4:29 p.m. Thursday, minor vehicle accident in front of Miller- Starnes Chevrolet-Buick, US 79 at FM 487, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department.

• 5:12 a.m. Friday, lift assist, south of Rockdale on FM 487, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department.

• 11:31 p.m. Saturday, accident, US 79 in Milano, Milano VFD.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
