CIP Christmas program, dinner set December 11

Gause Community Improvement Program (CIP) will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at the Gause Community Center. A reminder that the annual CIP Christmas program and dinner will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at the community center. Bring your favorite dish and join us for the traditional Christmas turkey and dressing dinner at noon.

Calla Vinton, daughter of Renee’ and Jerry Vinton, was in San Antonio over the weekend to participate in the Little Miss of Texas Distinguished Youth Program which was held at the Marriott Rivercenter.

At the awards program on Sunday, she received trophies for first place in sportswear and first place in poise and personality. Calla was accompanied by her parents and brothers Seth and Isaac. Her aunt Desiree, uncle Allen and Lilly Reese of Thorndale joined them on Saturday.

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving day with lunch, visiting w ith family and friends and spending time in front of the television watching the Cowboys as they lost and the Aggies as they won.

On Friday, I joined the girls, Kelly, Kristi and Leah, along with grandsons Cameron and Jaxon, on a trip to San Antonio for a weekend visit with son Craig and had another Thanksgiving feast on Saturday. On Sunday, we went and saw the Little Miss of Texas Distinguished Youth Program Awards of which, greatniece Calla Vinton was a participant.

K im L ee and Kendall and Kim’s brother Donnie and family spent Thanksgiving in Alabama with family members.

On Monday, Dec. 6, the Gause junior high school basketball teams will play Allen Academy in Bryan. First game will start at 5 p.m.

Our sincere sympathy to the family of Harold Lange. He passed away early Friday at his home in Gause.

Mildred Ely Bowling and family had their annual Thanksgiving Day celebration at the Gause Baptist Church Family Life Center on Thursday with more than 65 family members and friends attending.

Gause ISD students have been busy studying for upcoming UIL competition. The contests will be within the next couple of weeks. We wish them all the best.
