Borgas

CAMERON—Funeral services for John Ricardo Borgas, 54, of Cameron were held Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Burial followed in Hernandez Cemetery.

Rosary was recited Saturday, Nov. 27, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Borgas died Tuesday, Nov. 23, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Dec. 28, 1955, in Cameron to Lucio Borgas and Margarita Cavasos.

Mr. Borgas had worked for R&S Welders, Santa Fe Railroad and LJT in Temple.

He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Borgas of Cameron; a son, Jenaro Perez of Hereford; six brothers, Victor Borgas, Albert Borgas, Barney Borgas, Pete Borgas and Manuel Borgas, all of Cameron, Matilde Borgas of Plainview; and five sisters, Gloria Huerta, Stella Hernandez and Margarita Zuniga, all of Cameron, Maximina Johnson of Rockdale, Terry Borgas of Massachusetts; also, three grandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
