‘Can’t see anything’ at night Christmas parade

Dear editor,

Last night my wife and I went to see the Christmas parade, but to say the least I was very disappointed in our hometown parade.

Who was the brainstorm behind moving the parade to night time?

I was standing within 25 feet of the parade and couldn’t make out the people in it.

Our high school band went by and all I could see was just a bunch of dark figures going by playing Christmas music.

The only thing you could see were the bright flashing lights on the emergency vehicles.

There is not enough street lighting for a night time parade. I didn’t go last year because after the sun goes down it has to drop nearly at least 10/15 degrees.

This year it was cool but not like last year. I could barely pull out the figures of the animals in the parade.

Isn’t the parade put on so the people of Rockdale can take their children to it so all can enjoy it and have a good time?

Is there any one else out there that feels like I do?
