Coach arrested over relationship with student
Christopher Taylor, 31, a first year assistant football coach in the Rockdale ISD, was arrested Thursday by Rockdale police and charged with “improper relationship between educator and student.”
Bond was set at $6,000 by Municipal Judge Jerry Waggoner.
The charge involves an 18-year-old female. Even though 18-year-olds are legally classified as adults, criminal charges may be filed in an educator-student relationship.
RHS students were told Thursday that Taylor had resigned.
Taylor joined the Tiger staff in August and would have been an assistant track coach in the spring.
Taylor is a graduate of Madisonville High School and Texas A&M University where he was a wide receiver.
