Reporter/Marie Bakken Rockdale Elementary and Intermediate school participated in district University Interscholastic League competition Dec. 6 with 358 students representing Rockdale, Caldwell and Navasota school systems in the District 23- 3A North Zone contest.

Ellie Taylor, UIL sponsor, said that no overall school winner was declared and that all community volunteers that helped out were greatly appreciated. She listed results as follows:

ART Fifth grade— Team, 1. Laurelle Hollan, Martin Guiterrez, Marcos, Guiterrez, Quintin Hughes; individual, (tie) 1. Laurelle Hollan; 5. Martin Guiterrez.
