Rockdale welcomes winter at 84 degrees
We probably won’t have a white Christmas Saturday but at least we’ll get to turn off the air conditioners.
With much of the remainder of the United States shivering through December, temperatures have soared to and past 80 in Rockdale.
Tuesday’s high was 84 as recorded on the U. S. Weather Service thermometer at KRXTFM.
There were highs of 79 and 73 last week. Eight of December’s 21 days, through Tuesday were 70 or greater.
Through Tuesday there hadn’t been a freezing temperature in December. The month’s low was 41 on Dec. 6.
There has been no rainfall reported in Rockdale during the month.
