Denice Doss A s we enter Christmas week I am especially grateful and thankful to be where I am today. The Chamber is a blessing to me and as we work together in 2011 I know that great things are coming for the Chamber and for Rockdale.
I hope that you and your family have wonderful holidays. I hope your business stays strong and prosperous. I wish for you blessings beyond measure.
As we spend these last few days of 2010 I hope we end the year with a confidence that will carry us into the new year. I am thankful for our leaders of this town, for the volunteers who work so hard to make this a great town, for the businesses who support our events.
Our new Chamber Board members are Deedra Jacob, Debra Jackson, Jenny Lehmkuhl and Rob Schackart. We welcome these great additions to our board and they will be officially installed at our annual meeting on Thursday, Jan. 27.
Until next time I leave you with this...
A peaceful hush falls over the world, when this holiday rush is through.
It’s time to reflect on family and friends, and so I think of you.
It’s a time to send our greetings, to those who are far and near.
To wish you the blessings of the season, not just today but throughout the year.
We pause and think of this special time, a time that is set apart.
For thinking of those who are dear, who hold a special place in our heart.
Believe in the magic of the season, may the love of God warm your hearts.
May you forever cherish the memory, and what this season imparts.
It is not the gifts that are wrapped, and placed under the Christmas tree.
But the Christmas that lives within our hearts, that is special to you and me.
For unto us a child was born, He is our Savior and King.
It’s the time we celebrate the day of his birth, and the blessings his love does bring.
Merry Christmas to all.
