Cleveland


Mrs. Cleveland Mrs. Cleveland Services for Estelle Cleveland, 82, of Rockdale were held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Spears officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Clevel and died Wednesday, Dec. 15, in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

She was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Waco to Jewel (Alsup) and William Alvin Jennings Sr.

Mrs. Cleveland was a graduate of Robinson High School.

She married Joe Cleveland on Jan. 10, 1948, in Robinson.

Mrs. Cleveland was a homemaker and had worked at Food Center, Piggly Wiggly, Brookshire Brothers and Little Tigers Day Care, all in Rockdale.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale.

Mrs. Cleveland was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cleveland on Aug. 19, 2002, and a brother, W.A. Jennings.

Survivors are two sons, Joe Wayne Cleveland and wife Sarah of Rockdale, Carl Cleveland and wife Donna of Georgetown; daughters, Shirley Leopold and husband Robert, Brenda Barchenger and husband Joe, all of Rockdale; a brother, Bobby Jennings and wife Murl of Lorena; a sister, Cindy Cantrell of Waco; a sister-in-law, Ruby Jennings of Corsicana; and 20 grandchildren, Nikki Kirk and husband Joe, Kenny Cleveland and wife Lindsay, Shellea Griner and husband James, Shelbye Weise and husband Coby, Dusty Leopold and wife Tammy, Tish Todd and husband Mike, Steve Higgs, Chasaty Huckabay and husband Danny, Melanie Barcak, Jason Barcak and wife Lacy, Kevin Barchenger and wife Monica, Brittany Barchenger, Matt Williamson and wife Deedra, Beth A shby and husband Garrett, Drew Abbe, Hanna Abbe, Dakota Abbe, Colt Pounders, Tate Pounders and Tyler Pounders; also, 31 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenny Cleveland, Jason Barcak, Dustin Leopold, Joe Kirk Jr., Coby Weise, Robert Elliston, James Griner, Mike Todd and Steve Higgs.

Honorary pallbearers were Linda Crane, Nell and Ernest Hoffmeyer, Bennie and Barbara Starr, Iris and Leonard Hoff, Shane Barcak, Ty Kirk, Jordan Kirk, Luke Elliston, Dakota Abbe, Drew Abbe, Cooper Weise, Blaydn Barcak, Curtis Todd and Kevin Barchenger.
