No repeat of Y2K for 1-1-11 dawning Saturday

Don’t expect a repeat of “Y2K” hysteria when 2010 turns into 2011 at midnight Friday.

It w ill be 1-1-11 but apparently computers are expected to survive.

Eleven years ago there were widepread fears many computers would fail when their digitized clocks rolled over from to 1-1-00.

That didn’t happen but many municipalities, including Rockdale, delegated someone to stay up past midnight to keep an eye out just in case.

Just wait until Veterans Day when it will be 11-11-11.
