First Christian’s annual chili supper set Jan. 13

The annual chili supper at First Christian Church in Rockdale has been set for Thursday, Jan. 13, spokesperson Cindy Cates said.

The supper, which will include chili and all the fixings, will be served from 5-8 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, located at the corner of Bell and Scarbrough Streets.

Tickets for the meal are on sale for $5 each for dine in or take out, Cates said. To purchase tickets, call Peggy Fisher at 446-3308, or Cates at 446- 0649.

“ First Place 4 Health,” a Chr ist- c entered weig ht- loss and healthy living program, will begin a new session in Rockdale on Jan. 13, 2011, according to Suzanne Turner, spokesperson.

Next men’s breakfast Jan. 11 at Presbyterian

Next monthly second-Tuesday communit y men’s fellowship breakfast will be 7 to 8 a.m. Jan. 11 at First Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.

Purpose of the meetings are to allow men of all denominations to gather for food, fellowship and a brief devotion. These breakfasts rotate between several local churches.
