Cargivers support group to meet Jan. 5

CAMERON–The Caregivers Support Group meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the Milam County Extension Office, according to extension agent Cheryl Walker.

“Dealing with Their Reality— Meeting Them in Their World” will be the program given by Mona Butala with Standards of Care.

“ Caring for a chronically ill adult—whether they are in your home, in a care facility, or 2,000 miles away—can be mentally, physically and spiritually exhausting,” Walker said. “Participating in the Caregivers Support Group is a way to meet with others who are coping with the same issues and questions. You get support and understanding for your situation.”

“Come have a cup of coffee with other caregivers on Jan. 5 and learn to deal with the stress of your daily life,” she added.

For additional information, contact the County Extension Office, 254-697-7045, or email ce-walker@tamu.edu.
