Tigers second at Allen
Tripped up by Cedar Ridge Tuesday night
The Rockdale Tigers narrowly missed out on tournament championship and settled for second at Allen Academy.
In a round-robin style tournament, the Tigers fell to eventual tournament champion Houston Cypress Christian 50-49 in their first game.
After Tueday night’s 57-55 loss to Round Rock Cedar Ridge, the Tigers are even on the season at 7-7. Full Story

Clark, Brooks named to All-Centex football
Rockdale standouts Le’Raven Clark and Daniel Brooks have been named to the Austin American-Statesman’s 2010 All- Centex football team.
Clark was selected on the first team at offensive lineman, while Brooks was placed on the third team as a running back.

Boyd records hole-inone at country club
Eddie Boyd is the latest “ace” gunner at the Rockdale Country Club.
B oyd made a hole - i n- one on the club’s par- 3, 145- yard No. 5 hole, lofting a hybrid club into a strong north wind on Thursday, Dec. 30.
The ace was witnessed by Homer Mowdy, James McWhorter, Harold Lankford, Waylon Boyd and Willie Boyd. Full Story
