Donnelly

GILMER—An informal memor ia l ser v ice for Mark A rthur Donnelly, 57, of Gilmer will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Gilmer Civic Center.

Mr. Donnelly died Jan. 1, surrounded by family members at the home of his brother, David Donnelly, in Rockdale.

He was born July 26, 1953, in Patterson, New Jersey, to Mary and Robert Donnelly.

Mr. Donnelly graduated from R ichardson High School, in Richardson.

He then worked for Texas Instruments and decided to join the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.

Later in life, Mr. Donnelly focused on woodworking and crafting which allowed him to travel throughout the South.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Donnelly, and brother, Chris Donnelly.

Survivors are his father, Rober t Donnelly of Gilmer; t wo brothers, Gary Donnelly, David and Deta Donnelly; two sisters, Barbara and Jay McDonald, Patty and Nolan Davis; and four nieces Daveta Donnelly, April Adams, Danielle Donnelly and Mary Davis.
