Vansa

CAMERON—Funeral services for Dorothy M. Vansa, 76, of Burlington were held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial followed in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.

Rosary was recited Monday, Jan. 10, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mrs. Vansa died Friday, Jan. 7, in a Temple nursing facility.

A homemaker and farmer, she was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Cameron to Phillip and Frances (Klecka) Hubnik.

She married Emil Vansa on July 22, 1952, and he preceded her in death in November 2010.

Mrs. Vansa was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and KJZT.

A brother, Phillip Hubnik Jr., also preceded her in death.

Survivors are a son, Charles Vansa of Temple; three daughters, Barbara McNeil of Rogers, Janet Rogillio of Fairfield, LaVerne Vansa of Temple; and four sisters, Emilie Dohnalik of Rogers, Frances Henry of Austin, Cecilia Marek of Cameron, Pauline Pease of Red Rock; also, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church building fund.
