T’dale Chamber ‘airing’ out details of event

Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce ( TACC) met on Jan. 5 in a rescheduled meeting to finalize plans for their upcoming Airing of the Quilts, Classic Car Show and Arts and Crafts Show event scheduled for Saturday, March 26.

The “Airing of the Quilts Show” will feature entries in various categories and all will be judged with ribbons for first, second and third place and Best of Show. Quilters are encouraged to enter their new and heirloom quilts in the show. The ar t of quilting is fast becoming a lost art and this quilt show encourages the time-honored craft in order to showcase our heritage in the arts. Plans are underway for the second annual Classic Car Show and Louis Run also on March 26, in downtown Thorndale. The car show will feature cars in several categories with awards in all areas.

A r ts and craf ts w ill be on display up and down the main street of town in Thorndale. All are encouraged to come out and see what these vendors have for sale. All types of booths will be showing everything from baked goods to jewelry to hand-crafted items.
