MARCHING FOR DR. KING—

The 2011 edition of Rockdale’s march down Martin Luther King Drive on MLK Day was the largest ever. More than 50 persons marched, pedaled, rode and drove the length of the street. The event was sponsored by Springfield Baptist Church and organized by church member Henry Miller who said persons from many community congregations participated. Balloons for the march were donated by Love’s Flowers & Gifts. “We’re getting such good response that next year we may go downtown,” Miller said.
