It’s already rained more in January, 2011, than in any month of 2010 except September. There was actually water in Ham Branch again early in the week after a weekend of steady soaking rain that measured 1.89 inches in the U. S. Weather Service thermometer at KRXT-FM, and more than two inches in other gauges throughout town. Total rainfall so far for January, most of it falling in an 8-day period, has been 3.45 inches. Rockdale’s total for September, 2010, was 4.21 inches, the only month in that year for precipitation to top three inches. Just 24.21 inches fell in all of 2010.
