Caregivers support group to meet Feb. 2
Cheryl Walker

f you are a caregiver for a family member, you know the stress you deal with on a daily basis. The Caregivers Support Group can not remove the stress, but it lends support to you and provides information to help you deal with your responsibilities.

The next meeting for the Caregivers Support Group will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at the Milam County Extension Office, 100 E. 1st Street in Cameron. Our program will be on “Senior Estate Issues”. Marvin J. Farek, Jr., Attorney in Rockdale will be providing the program.

Remember, you must care for yourself so you can continue to care for your loved one. Attend a meeting and talk to others that are going through similar situations. Strength comes from knowing that you are not the only person with feelings of being overwhelmed and stressed out.

Carol Gill, coordinator for the support group and Mona Butala, with Standards Regional Home Health work with the Extension office to offer programming to support caregivers needs.
