Project Graduation to hold pancake supper Feb. 8
Milano High School seniors are raising money for their Project Graduation event in May. The drug- free, alcohol-free all night event is held after commencement ceremonies at the school cafeteria. The group has two upcoming fund-raisers planned.
The first is a dessert silent auction to be held Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the high school gym during the scheduled basketball games.
Then, a pancake supper will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the school cafeteria. Price is $5 per plate and will include a short stack, bacon or sausage and drink.
From Feb. 1-11, the group will be selling Valentine flowers for $2 and candy for $1. An extra $5 fee will get your gift delivered. Call the high school office for more information at 512-455- 9333.
A one time only performance of “A Girl Named Opal” by Milano Junior High theatre students was held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the high school cafeteria.
The Milano Volunteer Fire Department w ill hold its big fund-raiser on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the civic center. The group’s annual chili supper and auction w ill begin at 4: 30 p. m. w ith chili being served until sold out. Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under and are available for eat in or carry out.
A silent auction will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and drawing for the night’s other prizes will be held at 7:30 p.m. For a $ 5 donation enter a chance to win prizes including a Henry Golden Boy 22 caliber. We extend our sympathy to the Phillip Lopez family on the passing of his brother Tommy McQueen of Caldwell. Services were held Jan. 26 at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the Sharp Cemetery.
