Gray

Graveside services for Lorraine Gray, 89, of Rockdale were held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Randy Grubbs officiating.

Mrs. Gray died Thursday, Jan. 20, in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

She was born April 19, 1921 in the Hamilton Chapel community to John Edward and Mary Ann (Tate) Williams.

She married Marvin Gray on Aug. 20, 1938, in Rockdale.

A Rockdale resident all of her life, Mrs. Gray was owner and operator of Mary Ann Dress Shop in Rockdale and had also worked in Howell Grocery Store in Rockdale and as a supervisor at a sewing factory in Cameron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Earl Williams; and two sisters, Beulah Marie Ward and Barbara Louise Parrish.

Survivors are her husband, Mar v in Gray of Rockdale; a daughter, Bonnie Belle Grubbs and husband John “Bud” of Rockwall; a brother, Edward “Sonny” Williams and wife Mozelle of Rockdale; three grandchildren, Russell Wayne Grubbs and wife Karen of Royse City, Randall Lee Grubbs of Dallas, Brenda Carol Wilson and husband Matt of Caddo Mills; and six great-grandchildren, Lee Wayne Peoples, John Marvin Grubbs, Shelby Wilson, Kristin Grubbs, Tyler Wayne Grubbs and Audra Lynn Matthews; also, five great-greatgrandchildren.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
