Events ‘steer’ Chamber into 2011
As the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce heads into 2011 it’s obvious at least one event won’t steer the business community wrong.
Apache Pass will be the site of the 2011 Bevo’s Birthday Party April 15-16, an annual event sponsored by the Silver Spurs, a University of Texas service organization. Full Story
Permits $100,784 for January 2011
City building permits totaled $100,784 in January to open up the 2011 calendar year. A majority of the total comes from an addition being constructed by the MARC Center, located at 1705 Pecos.
Building permits are issued at City Hall and reflect only construction in the city limits
That brings the total for the fiscal year 2011, which began in October 2010 to $492,302. Full Story

Thorndale Chamber gearing up for March 26 event
Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce ( TACC) met Jan. 25 for their regular monthly meeting. The focus of the meeting was to welcome the new directors, re-elect officers and update plans for the upcoming Airing of the Quilts, Classic Car Show and Arts and Crafts Show scheduled for Saturday, March 26.
