Richardson

CAMERON—Funeral services for James B. Richardson, 78, of Temple, formerly of Cameron, were held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating. Entombment followed in St. Monica’s Mausoleum.

Rosar y was recited Friday, Jan. 28, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Richardson died Tuesday, Jan. 25, at his home.

A retired brickmason for Alcoa for over 40 years, he was born March 16, 1932, in Cameron to Joe Billy and Isabel (Jistel) Richardson.

Mr. Richardson was a graduate of C.H. Yoe High School.

He married Clara Fuchs on April 23, 1953.

Mr. Richardson served in the National Guard, was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church where he served as lector and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, and a sister, Willie Mae.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Richardson of Temple; two sons, Daniel Richardson of Castle Rock, Colorado, Alan Richardson of Milsap; and two daughters, Karen Junek of Sugar Land, Bernadette Sanders of Belton; also, six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Monica’s Building Fund or to the charity of donor’s choice.
