Tiger-Yoe alumni game Saturday
Yearning for a taste of the good old days?
There w ill be a Rockdale- Cameron alumni football game, Saturday, Feb.5 at Tiger Field, beginning at 7 p.m.
The game pits former Tiger and Yoe players against one another in a full contact football game.

Poor start handcuffs Blue as second round of league begins
The Rockda le Tigers have reached desperation status as they opened the second round of district play with a 70-52 loss to LaGrange Tuesday night at Tiger Gym.
The Tigers, who have lost eight straight, sink to 7-14 overall and more urgently 0- 6 in District 23-3A.
LaGrange improved to 10-12 overall and remains in the playoff picture at 3-3 in district play. Full Story

Milano keeps winning, rising in state stature
Streaking Eagles now No. 6 in Class A hiearchy
MILANO—Milano continues to win and in turn continues to rise in the statewide basketball poll.
The Eagles are ranked No. 6 in this week’s Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll and are plowing through District 27A opponents.
Milano (22-2, 6-0) opened up the second round of 27A play on Tuesday night when they hosted Thrall at Geneva Paceley Gym. Full Story

Victory over Academy Tuesday is the first step
Thorndale’s playoff picture isn’t as clear as it was two weeks ago as the Lady Dogs have lost two out of their last four games.
They are now at (8-4) in District 27-2A play and (20- 9) on the season.
Jarrell leads the district and there are three teams tied for second place between Cameron, Rogers and Thorndale. Full Story
Ware, Sanders named to TSWA state teams
Thorndale’s Josh Ware and Milano’s Thomas Sanders were named to the Texas Sportswriters Association All-State teams.
Both were chosen honorable mention, Ware in Class 2A and Sanders in Class A.
Ware, who was a first-team pick as a defensive back in Class A a year ago and a pre-season first-team choice in 2010, made 45 tackles and picked off four passes. Full Story
Former Lady Tiger Walton earns nationals
CYPRESS—Former Rockdale Lady Tiger Kiera Walton finished in first place in the high jump by leaping 5-foot-5 at the Texas A & M Invitational and placed second in the Carl Lewis Invitational at the University of Houston. Full Story
Lady Tigers looking to end season on high note
LaGrange uses second half surge for victory
LaGrange used a 36-14 advantage in the second half to break open a tight game and hand the Rockdale Lady Tigers a 55-27 loss Tuesday night on the road.
The Lady Tigers drop to 7-20 overall and 1-7 in District 23-3A with two games left to play in the regular season.
