Membership forms needed for new website

Snow Days in Rockdale, Texas are few and far between but they are beautiful when they come. We can really appreciate the magnificence of it and then it is gone so we don’t have time to get tired of it.

I used to live where it snowed a lot and I didn’t remember the brutal cold that goes along with the beauty but I was reminded of it last week when we had to get out in it to feed the cattle. I came to the conclusion that I enjoy the snow much more when I am sitting by my fireplace looking out.

Just a reminder to the membership that we need your updated information for our website. We had an update form in the newsletter but if you need another copy just call us or email us. Some reminders of upcoming events include the Father- Daughter Dance is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at the Patterson Center. The course starts on Feb. 12 and it involves two Saturdays—9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, and 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. The fifth annual Tejas Art and Book Festival is coming along and plans are well underway for a great event. Put March 5 on your calendar for a great day in Rockdale.

Until next time I leave you with this...“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.”
