One treated after rural accident
Two crashes were reported on rural South Milam County roads during last week’s stretch of icy weather but the only injury accident occurred two days later after temperatures had warmed.
Trooper Erik Gaston said that accident was reported at 3:37 p.m. Friday on FM 487, onehalf mile south of the FM 476 crossroads.

The Milam Count y Health Depar tment is now of fer ing meningitis vaccine, according to Michelle Ferguson, public health preparedness coordinator.
She said shots are $5 for children ages 11 to 18 and there is no charge for persons on Medicaid. Full Story
MCAD schedules pair of sessions for Thursday
CAMERON—The Milam County Appraisal District has scheduled two sessions for Thursday, according to Chief Appraiser Pat Moraw.
Directors will go into session at 10 a.m. to hear public comments on a 2010 budget amendment, she said.
Immediately following, at 12:15 p.m., directors will convene a second session to approve the amendment and their January budget report. Full Story
