City hall’s new website

If you need to know anything about the City of Rockdale, it is now all at the end of your fingers. The city launched it’s new website, www.rockdalecityhall.com, on Friday.

The site has information about anything Rockdale, from where to pay your parking ticket to where the local parks are located.

Downtown Association annual car show set

Rockdale’s Downtown Association will once again host a car/bike show. The 2011 show is set for Saturday, March 5 in the downtown area, according to spokesperson Bernie Finley. This year’s event will also include a swap meet.

The auto and bike show will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is is $20 per entry. The swap meet will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has a $20 entry fee.

Registration will run from 8-10 a.m. There will be several clases, door prizes and food booths, Finley said.

Rockdale’s MDD looking for new board member

The City of Rockdale is currently accepting applicatons from citizens interested in serving as Rockdale Municipal Development District board member.

Deadline for application sub- mission is 5 p. m. Thursday, March 10 at city hall. Applications may be obtained at www.rockdalecityhall.com or at 505 W. Cameron Ave.

RFCU annual meeting scheduled March 28

The annual meeting for Rockdale Federal Credit Union has been set for Monday, March 28 at the Rockdale Knights of Columbus Hall, RFCU president Ron Montgomery announced.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with refreshments being served until 5:30. The meeting portion of the event will run until 6:30 p.m. For more information, call RFCU at 512-446-2583.
