CAUGHT IN THE ACT—Rockdale police quickly chased down, cuffed and apprehended a 28-year old burglary suspect Friday after he was caught in the act by a home owner. Bradley Hilbers was arrested at 2:41 p.m. in the 400 block of East Cameron (US 79) by Lt. J. D. Newlin and Ofc. Adam Assaker. Newlin said a home owner at 323 East Milam caught a man in the attic of the residence, called police, attempted to detain the suspect and briefly wrestled with him. Police answered the call, wrestled the suspect to the ground and cuffed him. Hilbers was charged with two counts of burglary—Newlin said the house next door was also entered—and bond was set at $40,000.
