Early out Friday for GISD students
Gause ISD students will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25. Teachers will have parent/teacher conferences that afternoon.

Friday last day to turn in box tops for PATCH Club
Be sure to turn in your Educational Box Tops at Milano Elementary School by Friday, Feb. 25. It is the last day before the PATCH Club sends them in for funds to help the school. The group has set a goal of $350, and if reached, all elementary students will receive coke float party. Send the box tops with your student or turn them in to the elementary front office. Full Story
District looking to cut 10 percent of all budgets
I t seems like the news gets worse a nd worse a round the state of Texas for Public Schools. You can’t pick up a newspaper or watch a news station without reading or hearing about the large numbers of educators and support personnel that districts are planning to lay off. TAKS exit level retest for out-of-schoolers
Rockdale High School will offer the TAKS Exit Level Exams in March 2011 for out-of-school (OOS) examinees, district testing coordinator Lynnette Guerra annouced. Tests dates are March 1 (ELA), March 2 (Math), March 3 (Science) and March 5 (Social Studies). Full Story
