Sweetheart dinner moved to Feb. 26
The annual Rockdale Ag Boosters Sweetheart dinner and dance has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 26, spokesperson Robin Heintze has announced. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7.
The night will also include a silent auction at 6:30 and a dance w ith “Branded Heart” scheduled for 8. Tickets are $25 per person.

Nature Fest photo deadline March 31
The El Camino Real Chapter of Master Naturalists is again sponsoring a Nature Photo Contest. It will be held in conjunction with the second annual Milam County Nature Festival at Wilson-Ledbetter Park in Cameron on April 9, spokesperson Paula Engelhardt announced.
Divisions are 18 and older, 12-17 and under 12 years old. There are five categories: people in nature, wildlife, landscape/ scenery, plants and funny nature photo.
Entries will be judged prior to the festival and the deadline for entries is March 31. All entries (space permitting) and winning photographs will be on display at the Nature Fest.

Nature Festival set April 9 in Cameron
CAMERON–The second annual Milam County Nature Festival will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Wilson- Ledbetter Park in Cameron.
This is an educational and fun family event for all age groups with presentations, exhibits and hands on activities in a variety of nature areas including birds, bats, insects, butterflies, snakes, horned lizards, fish, wild animals, wildflowers, native grasses and much more.
