A 30-year-old Rockdale man sought by police since the Feb. 14 chase which damaged Constable Herbie Vaughan’s patrol car, has been captured. John D. “John-John” Johnson, was arrested Wednesday night hiding between a mattress and box springs at his mother’s Rockdale home, police said. Full Story

Shredder will visit Chamber on Friday
The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and Rockdale Rotary Club will co-sponsor a commercial shredder visit from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Chamber’s rock house headquarters.

Thursday is the final day to submit nominations for awards to be handed out at the March 24 Rockdale C ha mber of C ommerc e annual banquet.
Awards include outstanding citizen (longtime service) citizen of the year, organization of the year and business of the year.
