Fugitive captured at mom's home

  A 30-year-old Rockdale man sought by police since the Feb. 14 chase which damaged Constable Herbie Vaughan’s patrol car, has been captured.  John D. “John-John” Johnson, was arrested Wednesday night hiding between a mattress and box springs at his mother’s Rockdale home, police said.
  Johnson was charged with evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle and evading arrest/detention on foot, along with the original charge, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
  Bond was set at $33,500.
  Also arrested was Johnson’s mother, Diana Garcia Martinez, 52, of Rockdale, on a charge of hindering then apprehension of a fugitive and criminal mischief. Her bond was set at $22,500.
  Rachel Elizabeth Stevenson, 18, of Milano, identified as Johnson’s girlfriend, was also arrested and charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.
  Her bond was set at $20,000.
  Vaughan was not seriously hurt when his SUV left CR 304 during the Feb. 14 pursuit and struck a tree.
