Tovar

Services for Barbara Lee Tovar, 71, of Rockdale will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Phillips & Luckey Chapel with Rev. Richard Pelkey of Austin officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation was scheduled for 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Tovar died Sunday, Feb. 20, in a Bedford hospital.

A Rockdale resident since 1976, she was born July 9, 1939, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Thomas and Barbara (Luggelle) Flett.

She was a heavy equipment operator with Alcoa for 23 years, retiring in 2003.

Ms. Tovar was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are a son, Brooks De Ghetto of Round Rock; four daughters, Linda Marsha and husband Noel of Lakeway, Lee A nne Hurst of Austin, Cheri Valko of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, Lisa Oxentine of Euless; a brother, Thomas “Chip” Flett of Attleboro, Massachusetts; and three sisters, Gerry Penovi of Boca Raton, Florida, Judith Nigro of Voorhees, New Jersey, Roberta Swart of Revere, Massachusetts; also, nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Hurst, John Valko, Cameron Marsh, Marshall Oxentine, Brooks De Ghetto and Noel Marsh.
