EDUCATION NOTES

TOOTH FAIRY VISITS MISD–She wears wings and a tiara, but her magic wand is a toothbrush. She’s the Milano Tooth Fairy and she’s flying around town teaching children the importance of proper oral hygiene. The Tooth Fairy visited students ages 4-6 last week to teach the importance of taking care of their teeth during February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month. Children also learn how to properly brush their teeth, how long to brush, how much tooth paste to use when brushing, importance of not sharing their tooth brush and the proper way to floss their teeth. The Tooth Fairy also instructs children about tooth-healthy snacks. Above are Milano Pre-K students (l–r) Shia Maldonado, Jason Avalos, Edison Bui, Dominic Johnson, the Tooth Fairy (Maria Solano-Salas), David Lara, Amelia Mauldin and Kaidence Rice.
